Vice President Sibanye-Stillwater
Maria Piastre is a business leader with extensive experience in the precious metals recycling and refining industry. A graduate of Kean University with a degree in Economics, she built her career at Metallix Refining, ultimately serving as CEO and leading the company’s growth and development. Following the acquisition of Metallix, Maria joined Sibanye-Stillwater, where she currently serves as Vice President, Commercial and Trading.
In this role, she leads metal management activities for the recycling division, focused on minimizing risk, maximizing value recovery, and strengthening downstream relationships. Maria also serves on the Board of Directors of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI). Throughout her career, she has been a strong advocate for innovation, sustainability, diversity, and the improvement of gender dynamics in traditionally male-dominated industries.
Amanda Dunne
Director of Controlling & Operations at BASF ECMS
Amanda has worked in the metals industry since 1996 and has built her career across precious and base metals, experiencing multiple cycles and periods of significant change across the industry. She is currently Director of Controlling & Operations at BASF ECMS, where she combines extensive metals experience with leadership across Operations, Controlling, Finance, Business Transformation, Risk Management and the evolving global metals value chain.
A passionate advocate for women in metals, Amanda is committed to helping create an industry where different experiences, leadership styles and ways of thinking are valued. She believes that the future strength of the metals industry depends not on everyone thinking alike, but on bringing diverse perspectives together to navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly changing market. For Amanda, metals has been both a passion and a career-long challenge — and she remains deeply committed to the industry and to helping shape its next generation.
Brittany N. Miller
Global Senior Purchasing Manager at General Motors
As Global Senior Purchasing Manager at General Motors, Brittany leads global sourcing strategies for Exhaust Systems and Platinum Group Metals, partnering with executive leadership and suppliers worldwide to optimize cost, mitigate risk, strengthen supply resiliency, and support the future of vehicle electrification and advanced propulsion technologies.
Throughout her career, Brittany has successfully led purchasing, supply chain, finance, and business planning roles at General Motors, Stellantis (FCA, Chrysler), and Nexteer Automotive. Her diverse background provides a unique ability to connect financial strategy, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional execution to deliver measurable business value.
