We are pleased to announce that Anna Marchisio has been appointed Chair of the European Chapter of Women in PGMs (WiPGMs).

Anna has been a dedicated supporter of the network since its inception and has played an instrumental role as a committee member of the European chapter. As Yana Stunis steps into the role of Global Chair, Anna brings continuity, energy, and deep sector expertise to lead the European community forward.

Anna Marchisio holds a master’s degree in Humanities and German Studies from the University of Turin and entered the PGM sector in 2005 following a career in the automotive industry. In 2014, she relocated from Italy to Germany to join Hensel Recycling as Business Development Manager for Critical Raw Materials Recycling.

A native Italian speaker, Anna is fluent in four languages and has developed strong expertise in critical raw materials, particularly in the recycling and recovery of complex PGM-containing applications. At Hensel Recycling, she has contributed to pioneering work in recovering PGMs from hydrogen technology devices.

Anna has been a member of WiPGMs since its foundation and has also served as a mentor within the association since 2023, supporting the next generation of professionals in the sector.

Yana Stunis commented:
“Anna has been a cornerstone of the European chapter since the very beginning. Her commitment to the network, combined with her technical expertise and collaborative approach, makes her exceptionally well placed to lead the chapter into its next phase. I am delighted to see her step into this role.”

We warmly congratulate Anna on her appointment and look forward to her leadership in strengthening and expanding the European WiPGMs community.
