Sayurie is a registered CA(SA) and a seasoned finance professional with over 15 years of experience within the Anglo American Group, including the last seven years at Valterra Platinum where she was appointed to the position of chief financial officer and executive director for in May 2024.

Aeysha Samsodien – Portfolio Manager M&G Investments
Aeysha is a registered CA(SA) and a Portfolio Manager of the Resources Funds at M&G, a leading South African investment firm. Aeysha joined M&G in 2013 after completing her articles at PWC. Aeysha is a highly regarded investment professional, overseeing significant shareholdings in leading listed equites across the basic materials and resources sectors.

Thabang Thlaku – Executive for Investor Relations and New Business Development, African Rainbow Minerals
Thabang holds a Business Science and Master of Commerce degree and is a CFA charter holder. Prior to joining ARM in 2023, Thabang held roles across several functions at leading international and domestic asset management institutions and investment banking firms including commodity and equity strategy, research, and trading.

Ruanne Sandrock – Senior Associate Director at Deloitte Africa
Ruanne is a seasoned management consulting leader with deep expertise in the mining and metals sector. She has spent her career advising executives across Africa on how to unlock safer, highly efficient, and more sustainable operations. With a foundation in chemical engineering, she combines strong technical acumen with strategic insight and a practical understanding of what is required to navigate the complexities of the African mining environment.

Liz Rowsell – Chief Technology Officer, Johnson Matthey Plc
Liz is the Chief Technology Officer at Johnson Matthey, where she leads technology, innovation and research and development across JM. Liz has spent her entire career at JM in research and development forming part of the teams behind the commercialisation of numerous products across pharmaceuticals, process catalysts and technologies for renewables processes. Liz collaborates closely with colleagues in Universities and Research Councils, both in the UK and globally, and represents JM on several Industry Advisory Boards.

Emma Townshend – Executive Corporate Affairs, Impala Platinum
Emma joined Implats in February 2019 and provides support across several group functions including marketing and commercial, investor relations and strategy. She joined Implats after an 18-year career as an equity analyst at several domestic and international banks, where she was involved in commodity and equity research on precious metals and producers, with a particular focus on PGMs.
