Lynda Si-Ahmed
Refining Group Business Development Manager

Lynda has 20 years of experience in the precious metals industry and 5 years into the base metal industry. With a Ph. D in chemistry and an executive MBA form HEC Lausanne, she held different positions at Metalor and has spent most of her career leading precious metal R&D teams, managing strategic projects and actively working in new businesses development, implementation & management including sales and marketing activities of PGM industrial products. Since 2023, she is the President of the European Chapter of the IPMI and served as the secretary of the Chapter in 2022. In the same year, she joined the European committee of Women in PGM.

Penny Freer
Chairman of AP Ventures

Penny has worked with AP Ventures since its launch. She is the Chairman of AP Ventures LLP and also Chairs the Investment Committee and the Limited Partner Advisory Committee. She has considerable business experience with more than 25 years working in finance where she has held senior leadership positions including at Robert W Baird where she was responsible for the Equity Capital Markets activities and was a member of the UK Board. Over the past 10 years Penny has worked with high growth companies as an investor and as an advisor. She has also served as a non-executive director for listed companies and funds. Penny holds a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Leicester. In her free time Penny enjoys reading, skiing and sailing.

Sarah Makumbe
Sustainability Certifications Manager  

Sarah Makumbe is passionate about sustainable practices and takes a leading role in implementing certifications such as IRMA, Copper Mark, ICMM and Towards Sustainable Mining at Anglo American. This work offers impartial insights into the mining sector’s impact and identifies opportunities for sustainability improvements that benefit both communities and the environment. Beyond mining, she collaborates with customers, investors, and governments to encourage ethical sourcing and responsible conduct throughout the metal supply chain. Her efforts have led to her recognition as one of Mining Journal’s most influential people in mining for 2023 and she continues to drive positive change for communities and the environment. With over 15 years of experience in mining, her skills range from Metallurgy, Process Engineering, Business Improvement, Safety, and Sustainability.

María Eugenia Paravizzini Perez
Head of Sustainability & Quality

Maria is a Chemical Engineer with more than 13 years of experience working as an HQSE Manager in high-level companies. During her career she developed engineering and leadership skills that contributed to improving her professional knowledge and skills. After working as an HQSE Manager for different companies over the years, she decided to take the step to a new challenge in her professional career. In 2023, the possibility arose of participating in a new ambitious and challenging project. Maria, joined Jolt Solutions S.L. as Head of Sustainability and Quality.
