Key Note Speaker – Nicky Shiels
Nicky has worked in the financial industry for almost 15years as a commodities desk strategist where she’s gained invaluable expertise in precious and base metals markets, and fostered a deep broad network amongst market participants. During her recent tenure at a leading North American financial institution, Nicky established and grew their metals strategist platform through the composition of topical research, core fundamental & macro analysis and providing integral outlooks. In her new current role as Head of Metals Strategy at MKS PAMP Group, she is working closely with the dealing team to enhance sales & trading strategies, will develop the precious metals marketing & research platform and will serve as a market spokesperson for media. She has actively presented at key North American conferences and industry events, and is a contributing voice in many media outlets and amongst core clients. Nicky graduated from Yale University with a B.A majoring in economics.

Panelist – Suki Cooper
Suki is the Bank’s Precious Metals Analyst, based in New York. She covers the markets for gold, silver, platinum, palladium and other platinum-group metals, along with the key producing countries and consuming sectors. She joined Standard Chartered in 2015 from Barclays, where she spent 11 years, most recently as Head of Metals Research. Suki has worked with corporates, refiners, physical traders, sovereign wealth funds and central banks, institutional investors, hedge funds and private wealth firms, providing analysis and the outlook for the precious metals sector. Previously, she was a Chartered Accountant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Suki is a member of the Public Affairs Committee of the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). She is an ACA Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Panelist – Becky Berube
Becky serves the recycling community as President of United Catalyst Corporation, Immediate Past President of the International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) a member of the Automotive Recyclers Association’s (ARA) Educational Programming Committee, and a member of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Auto Recycling Committee. Becky co-founded United Catalyst Corporation nearly 30 years ago with her husband Tim Berube. United Catalyst Corporation offer the industry global processing and refining services for their scrap catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, electronic control modules (ECUs), and hybrid batteries.

Panelist – Yana Stunis
Yana is a Precious Metals Sales Manager at Anglo American Platinum and has over 15 years of experience in the financial services, commodities, and technology industries. She has held a number of front office, business development and risk roles at top tier global institutions and technology start-ups. She is a member of the Innovation Investing Special Interest Group for the CFA UK. Additionally, Yana leads a number of efforts related to the Sustainability and Net-Zero transition across the commodities sector unlocking efficient, sustainable and transparent use of resources. These initiatives utilize the latest technology trends, as well as digital transformation capabilities. Yana received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
